On Sunday, Apr 11, 1897, at the noon hour, Rev. J.N. Tomlin of the M.E. church, spoke the words that united for life Mr. Elmer E. Hatcher and
Miss Edna A. Holt, both of Pagosa Springs. The ceremony was performed at the American hotel in the presence of the relatives of the contracting parties and a few friends. After the knot was tied the guests were invited to partake of a most superb dinner.
The groom is one of our popular business men, being a member of the firm of Hatcher Bros. The bride is the young and accomplished daughter of Mrs. J.M. Rippy of the American hotel. The happy couple were the recipients of a number of handsome and valuable presents.
The News family acknowledges the receipt of a supply of wedding cake.
