  Contact: Bob Hatcher This family has been proven through DNA testing to belong to those Hatchers who originally came from Dorset, England. We now have 3 distinct families who connect through DNA - the original Quaker Hatchers whose first presence is William Hatcher, born c1705, the Minnesota Hatchers who arrived mid 1850s, and this William Hatcher, born 1825, who may be the son of William and an unknown Van Horn of Philadelphia. ---------------------- From Jim Scofield: ...the death record for William Z. Hatcher from the Ohio Historical Society. This shows he having died at the residence of the above granddaughter and she is the informant on the certificate. He is given born 25 Sept 1825 in Pennsylvania. His father William Hatcher was born in England. His mother's maiden name seems to be given as: Van Horu [Van Horn?], she born in Germany. Burial 20 Nov 1916.
